Pretty much perfect
Having travelled extensively and experienced many of the 'higher end' type places throughout Asia, I can confidently state that Rocky's is up there with the best. It combines the amenities and facilities of those large, 5-star resorts with the intimacy of a personal hotel, having only around 50 suites.

The location is lovely, having direct access to a small beach of its own in addition to being only a 5-minute walk from the larger Lamai Beach and all of its bars and restaurants. Food is great too and the rooms are spacious, clean and have all amenities you would expect.
But, as with most good places, it is the staff that can make all the difference and it in this regard that Rocky's truly excels. The graciousness, kindness, friendliness and every other positive 'ness' I can think of were all practised by everyone, from the management through to the groundskeepers who were always there with a warm greeting and a smile.
I would highly recommend Rocky's in Koh Samui without hesitation. Although the resort itself is pretty perfect, it's the staff that really make it. Jun and Ariane do a wonderful job of looking after the guests and special mention to Cha Em and Nam for dealing so gracefully and kindly with our 14-strong breakfast chaos every morning.
We have visited many places throughout the world and this is one of the few we specifically intend returning to, which I hope is the strongest endorsement we could give!

Birthday Celebration
What isn’t there to love about this place. From the welcome to the goodbye it was perfect. The location is fantastic. The food is wonderful. But importantly the staff are what makes this place. Put simply they are amazing. My wife had a minor fall and daily they checked on her and helped clean and dress the wound.

We went with a big group for a special birthday celebration and the hotel made it so so special on the beach - thank you. I cannot recommend this resort enough. And if you are fortunate enough to be planning a holiday to Koh Samui you need look no further than Rocky’s.

Wonderful and unforgettable stay.
I was staying there with my wife second time after 1,5 year break from December 22 till December 27, 2019. It was again wonderful experience and I must say that Rocky's is the best touristic hotel I have ever stayed during my holidays.

We have experience with hotels in Koh Samui and Phuket, mainly 5 star hotels and none of them can compete with Rocky's marvelous garden, ambience, cleanness, friendship, kindness and care of the management and personnel. Spending Christmas there was so very nice and much above our expectations with fantastic dinners on 24th and 25 December. Every evening the hotel had some interesting program for a dinner, especially we liked free wine degustation we were lucky to be in upon arrival. The hotel has a nice private beach and 2 swimming pools. We never saw them overcrowded despite the high season. During high tide the beach gets narrow. The hotel is in distance of 2 - 2.5 km from Lamai, so it is possible to walk there when it is not hot. There is a shuttle from the hotel to Lamai but returning from there in the evening is on your own, a taxi costs BHT 200 (after bargaining). After our stay in Rocky's we moved to another hotel (5* in north of Lamai) and it was a big mistake. We should have stayed in Rocky's Resort all our December/January holiday.

Absolute Gem
We spent Christmas at this beautiful boutique resort hotel and what a fabulous experience it was. The whole place is designed to help you relax and unwind, their hospitality is second to none and everyone we met were so friendly and welcoming. We had an ocean view junior suite, very spacious, big comfy bed with ample sitting area.

Bathroom was a wet room, with fluffy white towels - fab to wrap up in! We had a balcony off the room with space to lounge or sit without being overlooked. The food was sublime, good choice of European and Thai cuisine with themed nights available. Christmas dinner was substantial with free flow wine included in the price, people came from outside the hotel which goes to show how good it was! Our waiter, whose name I think was Bwm (really sorry if I haven’t got that right) was fabulous and kept my husbands glass topped up all evening.🍷 Dinner on the beach with a fire show was sensational, I even participated in the show, so brave!! I could go on an on about this wonderful place and what an amazing time we had. Would I go back again - you bet I would. Thank you to all at Rocky’s for an amazing Christmas ❤️

Wonderful
Rocky’s is a cool place to stay. You will be surrounded by comfort all day long. The environment is beautiful. Alex and his team are attentive, helpful, happy and make you feel at home. Our room was very comfortable. The small and perfectly formed private beach blissful. The two pools are at good temperature. The food delicious. A great oasis on the very touristy island.

AMAZING!!
Rocky’s resort and the team gave my partner and I an amazing first overseas experience!! There service is absolutely outstanding, with beautiful food, huge variety in buffet breakfast, super friendly staff who helped us in every way possible plan our days and looked after us.

We felt so at home! The resort is clean, incredibly beautiful, pools are devine, we never wanted to leave! Resort’s are always more pricey with eating and drinking but there restaurant food and drinks were faultless. The room was made immaculate everyday and has everything you could possibly need in it, and then also come again in the evening to prepare your room for bedtime. Well worth what you pay! The culture in the resort is traditional thai and an experience you will never forget. So much to offer! Thank you Rocky’s!!

Good fun, good staff, good management. Excellent
Excellent boutique resort. Exceeded expectations, staff and management are honest and helpful. If you are a happy person you will love this place. The beach front rooms are a short pleasant walk past the lower pool to the open space meals area, short walk up the hill to another beautiful pool with eatery, bar etc.

Beautiful gardens all around the resort and is a credit to the Gardeners hard work. Like all resorts you need to go out to experience the local culture however coming home to a neat tidy prepared room is the best! Very good in house massage. A very traditional resort. Loved it, recommended it. Stayed 5 nights before moving on to another resort. Ian and Serena
